Geo to provide fibre network to Siminn

Geo to provide fibre network to SiminnFibre network provider Geo has been picked to provide a fibre connection for Telco provider Siminn.

The connection will run between two of its London data centres for a five year period.

The deal comes after Geo was commissioned to upgrade and replace Siminn's link between Telehouse East and Telecity Redbus Meridian Gate and enables Siminn to offer its customer more security and faster services.

Fibre is routed through the sewer system in London, which the companies believe addresses network outage and security problems.

Thor Jes Thorisson, chief technical officer at Siminn, said: "Due to our growing customer base, we required a high capacity, scaleable solution on which to run faster technology and eliminate congestion on our network.

"Geo, who was highly recommended to us, has helped us fulfil our capacity planning needs for the near future in a very cost-effective and efficient manner."
