Network equipment manufacturer Belden has developed new cabling infrastructure which it claims will boost bandwidth on networks using Cat6 cables.
The new DataTwist 3600 cables offer businesses a series of copper cables which offer significant headroom for quick data transmission.
According to the firm, the devices are suitable for high-throughput applications which require error-free performance.
They are perfect for high-traffic, high-bit rate applications, the company states, and offer 280MHz of usable channel bandwidth surpassing Cat6 cable standards.
Belden's DataTwist 3600 leads consist of four pairs of insulated copper conductors with a round flexible core construction.
They have a central spine, which provides easy pair separation and the conductors are matched on all four pairs.
Greg Dietz, Belden's networking cable product manager, said: "Bonded-pair cables can provide additional peace of mind when deployed in mission-critical data centres."
Earlier this month, Belden launched a new industrial strength end-to-end Ethernet cabling solution.
The firm said it would allow businesses to connect their offices to their warehouse or production plant floor.
