Network equipment manufacturer Atlona Technologies has expanded its HDMI wall plate offering.
The new AT-HD-SR extender is compatible with both Cat5 and Cat6 cables and allows firms to boost transmission distances for HDMI video data up to 100 feet.
According to the firm, the extenders are suitable for data stored in the 1080p format.
The Cat5 lead compatible extenders offer transmission distances of up to 80 feet, while the Cat6 version offers an extra 20 feet of data delivery distance.
Atlona Technologies AT-HD-SR device consists of a sender and receiver unit, both of which are passive, and requires no additional power.
"This new Atlona HDMI wall plate Extender is based on a unique technology which allows full support of HDMI 1.3 specifications including high resolutions up to 1080p and HD Audio Formats," the firm said.
Earlier this year, Netgear introduced a coaxial Ethernet adapter for those unable to access Wi-Fi internet connections.
The Moca Coaxial Ethernet Adapter Kit is compatible with cabling extenders.
