The new Belkin Pure/AV Isolator Home Theatre Surge Protector cabling is suitable for a large number of applications and is one of a handful of devices that can shield equipment with varying power requirements, it has been claimed.
According to the Globe and Mail, the new product can be used to protect DSL modems and home theatre equipment.
It also has the potential to dramatically improve picture quality during transmission.
However, the cable solution is expensive and may only be suitable for enthusiasts who can afford the cleanest video and audio signals possible.
"For those willing to go all-out on a high-end power suppressor, Belkin's new Pure/AV line also offers high-performance cables," the paper claimed.
Belkin recently won an International Design Excellence Award for its Powerline AV+ Starter Kit.
The device is suitable for high-definition signal transmission and picked up a bronze award at the IDEA ceremony.
