Aiming to introduce a range of powerful and environmentally-friendly data centre solutions to its clients, USONYX has announced it is using the NEC Express5800 iModel server.
The new product is designed to be mounted in a server rack or server cabinet and uses power-consumption saving architecture.
USONYX believes as well as reducing power consumption and costs at its data centre sites, the NEC servers will also reduce cooling requirements and weight.
Martin Chan, managing director of USONYX, said: "USONYX has increased the count of our dedicated servers by 50 percent in year 2007 and 2008, making it possible for us to provide our customers with unparalleled web hosting services."
He added that with the growth comes the responsibility of providing its customers with a reliable service that has less impact on the environment.
As well as a broad range of racks and cabinets, NEC provides server room monitoring and management equipment.
