Rittal has unveiled a new rack cabinet that provides a strengthened solution for data centres with added mobility.
The TS 8 is a heavy duty rack cabinet capable is holding up to 1,300 kilograms of equipment with the possibility of adding extra capacity through extensions.
Fully quipped with stable transport castors, it can be moved, even after being configured and all these qualities can help to reduce costs in data centres.
A welded, strengthened framework also adds to the product's rigidity while the entire enclosure is designed for optimised airflow easy ethernet cable management.
Dieter Henze, Rittals director of IT product management, said: "The heavy duty rack is used in data centres to accommodate heavier IT systems and blade servers and so meets the higher demands for greater computing power in the same space."
Modrac recently a server cabinet, the EnviroRac5, which has climate control, automated fire protection, a 15-inch touch screen interface and biometric access control, offering effective management options.
