IT solutions provider Kelway has signed an agreement with Digital Realty which will enable it to make use of the latter firm's server racks and other hardware to host its cloud services.
The London-based firm signed a ten-year lease for the 720KW Turn-Key data centre facility in Redhill.
Phil Doye, chief executive officer of Kelway, commented: "The facility's location, security and the technical capabilities, combined with Digital Realty's outstanding operations, make it ideal for our requirements."
According to Kelway, the use of the Redhill facility will enable it to expand its cloud servers and "provide premium hosting space for new clients".
In an article for Financial Director, Rob Edwards - who has this job title at Next Generation Data - observed that there is a growing demand for data centres.
He said one of the reasons for this is the increasing usage of cloud computing solutions by companies across the world.
