Server rack fan guards protect enclosures from dust - Data and Server Racks

Orion Fans has released a new fan guard that could protect server racks from dust and dirt as well as provide an extra safety measure.

The LFG120B and LFG172B louvered fan guards are heavy-duty filtered and are made with UL 94V-0 flame-resistant plastic, with a washable nylon fibre filter media.

In addition to holding back unwanted dirt and dust, the devices also act as a safety mechanism to stop fingers from being injured by fan blades.

David Luna, product marketing manager at Orion Fans, said: "Not only do we offer the louvered fan guards in sizes suitable for the two most popular fan sizes (120mm and 172mm fans), but these fan guards are also the lowest-cost louvered guards in the industry.

"Available with or without a filter, these fan guards are ideal for use in industrial cabinets, server cabinets and server rack applications."
