Companies join forces to build Asia's largest data centre - Data Room Monitoring Two companies have announced a partnership to build a cloud computing data centre in Hebei province in China.

Businesses that use server room monitoring might have heard that IBM and Range Technology Development will join forces to construct the centre, which is set to be the biggest of its kind in Asia once it has been completed in 2016.

Madam Zhou Chaonan, chair of Range Technology Development, commented: "The data centre offers the world-class infrastructure capabilities and advanced network based services to support the business growth of our clients.

"This initiative plays a critical role in the economic development of China in light of the pressing demand for managed hosting in the areas of cloud computing and mobile devices," she added.

The data centre will measure a total of 6.2 million square feet and will be built to IBM's green specifications, Vadvert.co.uk reported.

It is expected to support the province's move towards a high-end IT and services-based economy, the news source said.
