Information Support Concepts (ISC) has unveiled two new options to its East Coast Server Rack series of rackmount cabinets, offering small businesses more choices.
The company has announced that 26U and 36U sizes are now available in the range, in addition to the existing 42U standard, catering to the needs of firms that do not need as much capacity.
Among the features of the server racks are perforated split rear doors, removable side panels, perforated fronts and grounding pins.
The company said: "For stand-alone applications, most traditional computer cabinets have side panels that need to be physically removed and set aside, allowing access to the side of the cabinet. Not only is this cumbersome, but they can also be difficult to open, remove, manage, shuffle around, store and not tip over accidentally.
"The last thing a company needs in a computer room are side panel doors to work around without knocking them over, or into other cabinets housing critical equipment."
Mobility is among the main advantages of the smaller-sized racks, while room is provisioned in the rear of the products for ethernet cable management.
Effective cable management is crucial in server rooms as it prevents any dangers brought about by loose cabling.
