Modrac has introduced its latest server cabinet solution for situations where it is not possible to construct a dedicated server room.
The EnviroRac5 has climate control, automated fire protection, a 15-inch touch screen interface and biometric access control, offering effective management options.
Crucially, the EnviroRac5 can also offer mobility that means any move of location is much easier than having to transfer a server room. In fact, the cabinet can be disassembled and rebuilt in another location within hours.
It has 60,000 British thermal units of cooling capacity from integrated chiller plants and a merged unit air conditioner option also means that there are no limitations on distance the server cabinet can be placed from an exterior wall.
Another manufacturer that recently introduced a new server room solution was Hoffman, with the Proline Flotek TD Server Cabinet.
It has a dynamic airflow system that keeps hot and cold air separated, thus improving cooling efficiency and reducing energy costs.
