NEC launches new server solution - Data and Server RacksNetwork equipment manufacturer NEC has unveiled a new range of server solution that supports both wired and wireless transmission.

The company has based the new equipment on its Univerge 360 approach, which is aimed at small and medium sized businesses.

All of the new devices can be stacked in server cabinets or server racks and can be scaled to offer up to 2048 ports.

Ravinder Raina, country head of PNS business at NEC India, said that the news systems, which include the Univerge SV8000, SV1800, SV8300 and SV8500, will be commercially available at the end of April.

All the devices are based on the company's Session Initiation Protocol and allow firms to converge and integrate legacy equipment.

Meanwhile, NEC has teamed up with Jware Technologies to provide banks and retailers with technology for digital payment services.

According to NEC, its Fault Tolerant machines coupled with Jware's card payment solution provide an unmatched level of service.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19087554-ADNFCR
