Server Technology has announced that it is ready to launch 69 new cabinet power distribution units (PDUs) for use with its Quality Power Architecture technology at the server racks level.
Brandon Ewing, president of the company, asserted that customers are opting for increasingly dense racks, which means they have a smaller amount of space available for PDUs.
He explained that while there is "a lot of talk about standardisation in data centres", Server Technology has recognised that not all facilities with data cabinets are the same.
"Data center managers want situation specific solutions to solve their unique power and efficiency goals," he commented.
This comes after independent research conducted by data centre solutions firm Sentrum revealed that 62 per cent of companies are actively measuring the energy efficiency of their facilities.
