Infrastructure solutions provider C4L may have recently invested in server room monitoring systems as it has begun the second phase of development of its Bournemouth data centre.
Expanding the existing facility will see an additional 120 server racks fitted at the establishment, which will increase its capacity by two-thirds.
It is set to feature N+1 redundancy on power and cooling, and backup generators to support the whole building should there be a power outage.
Matt Hawkins, managing director of C4L, commented: "Internet infrastructure is becoming increasingly important as more and more organisations become heavily reliant on online services and connectivity in order to run their business."
He added that the firm has experienced a high level of demand for its data centre services in Bournemouth.
This comes after DatacenterDynamics' global industry census revealed that in the next year there is set to be a 19 per cent increase in the energy required to power the world's data centres.
