The Carbon Trust has granted Keysource its Data Centre Strategic Design Advice (DCSDA) accreditation, which acknowledges its ability to assist firms with the development of facilities containing server racks.
Mike West, managing director of Keysource, observed that his firm is now one of only a small number to have gained the DCSDA accreditation.
"This demonstrates our ability to design and create innovative data centre solutions that achieve high levels of efficiency in a cost effective and responsible manner," he stated.
Keysource is now in a position to provide information on server accessories and data centres through the Carbon Trust Strategic Design Advice programme.
This scheme was set up in 2010 and it is available to companies in the UK planning to make any significant changes to their data centres.
Last week, the government announced that it hopes to save £1.4 billion by streamlining its IT strategy and making its data centres more efficient.
