Data centre solutions play an important role in supporting business growth, one expert has suggested.
Neil Richards, European mainframe director at Compuware, suggested there are generally two ways to resolve issues arising within a business.
"Firstly you have to quantify the problem," he commented.
"Once you've quantified the problem there are only two answers – for those people staying in my business, how can I make them more productive? How can I increase the productivity of my existing mainframe today?"
Secondly, Mr Richards said business leaders need to fill gaps in their organisation by attracting and recruiting new talent - and this process is also made easier by the use of data centre solutions.
Businesses can use data cabinets and network equipment to form the basis of an in-house or off-site IT infrastructure.
"How do you make it a quick and easy learning curve for these people so they can get up to speed and understand these complex applications very quickly?" Mr Richards questioned.
In both scenarios, modern technology is the answer, he claimed.
