Wipro Infotech has launched a new range of data centres that can be set up in less than one week.
The FluidState designs are aimed at small and medium-sized businesses and offer increased flexibility and efficiency as well as faster deployment.
Pre-designed and pre-fabricated, the data centres can be set up almost ten times faster than a conventional model.
They can be upgraded or downgraded without any downtime and are optimised for cooling, power and space.
In addition, the data centres have several features that reduce their overall environmental impact.
These include capacity on demand, four times higher density per server rack and a cost of cooling that is up to 40 per cent lower than standard data centres.
Wipro spokesman Achuthan Nair said: "We are excited and confident that this innovative, next generation data centre model will be the trend setter in flexibility and adoption of green practices in data centre design and operations."
The launch of the FluidState range comes after a report by energy and environmental news service Environmental Leader revealed that the market for green data centres in the US will be worth $3.82 billion (£8.83 billion) by 2015.
