Hewlett Packard (HP) has introduced a new server rack that will provide a cost -effective solution that is still capable of providing support for 2,000 pounds of equipment.
The HP v142 rack is part of the company's new value line and features a front door that is 63 per cent perforated for efficient airflow and cooling.
It also has side panels that allow easy management and mounting while rack stabilisers, baying and grounding kits are all available. A welded frame adds extra strength.
According to HP, the server rack is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises while also being suitable for data centre startups.
Other solution recently revealed by HP for a completely different end of the networking market has been the Performance Optimized Datacentres (POD).
Earlier this year, a scaled-down version of the POD was unveiled, with space for ten fully equipped 50U racks in a 20ft shipping container.
