A London hosting company is addressing a lack of server space in the capital by expanding to the Isle of Man.
According to Netcetera, the new centre will provide storage space away from London's "congested data centres which are subject to planning restrictions and power consumption limits".
Netcetera offers high density server racks and server cabinets with up to 45kW per rack which it claims "benefit companies looking to move their servers out of the office and co-locate for the first time, or companies who are thinking about expanding their current co-location space".
The company claims that its resilient, high-capacity fibre optic cables provided excellent security and 10GB Ethernet capabilities at its sites in London, Manchester and the Isle of Man.
Meanwhile, it claims that power for its data centres is supplied by three of the most modern power stations in the UK.
In related news, Ferrari claims its F1 data centre cannot be dubbed green computing but it is as efficient as possible.
