Managed hosting provider The Bunker has opened what it claims is Europe's most secure data centre at a former military operations room in Kent.
The new data hall - which features server racks and data cabinets - has been fitted out with state of the art power and cooling infrastructure.
Hot and cold aisle separation is also in use, along with dual power feeds, generator back-up and over 150 internet service provider connections.
Simon Neal, director of data centre services at The Bunker, said he is delighted with the new data floor at the Kent facility.
"The ongoing investment allows us to expand our business and provide security conscious organisations with the reassurance of knowing that their hosting and managed services needs are being met in an ultra-secure, high specification environment," he stated.
Mr Neal explained that the first customer has already moved in and the firm is expecting a "rapid" take-up of space in the near future.
