Search engine giant Google is spending hundreds of millions of pounds constructing a new data centre in Hong Kong.
The firm has set aside £190 million to construct the new facility, which it hopes to bring online in 2013.
Included in the costing is the price of land, construction and technical equipment - such as data cabinets and rack cabinets.
Google confirmed that around 25 full-time staff will be employed at the data centre when it is fully up and running.
"We're working as quickly as we can to get this facility operational so we can keep up with rapid growth in capacity demand across the region," said Simon Chang, head of Google's hardware operations in Asia.
Earlier this year, the US-headquartered firm revealed plans to build new data centres in Singapore and Taiwan, as it further extends its presence in Asia.
