Fujitsu has announced the upcoming launch of two new entry-level servers powered by Intel Core processors.
Aimed largely at small-and-medium-sized businesses, the Primergy TX150 S7 tower and the RX100 S6 rack servers are able to take advantage of the processing power of the Pentium G6950 as well as the Core i3-350 processors.
Through combining these technologies, Fujitsu claims that users will be able to benefit from enhanced integrated graphics capabilities, improved energy efficiency levels and a host of features, including Hyper-Threading and Turbo-Boost, which allows for speed of servers to be increased according to workload demands.
Furthermore, the RX100 S6 server boasts either two 3.5-inch drives or four 2.5-inch drives.
Richard McCormack, senior vice president of Fujitsu's Server and Solutions Business arm, stated: "The flexibility and power of [the two servers] make them ideally suited for general all-around use.
"They are [also] affordable enough to be very attractive to clients in the small and mid-sized market sector."
The Japanese electronics firm is the world's fourth-largest IT services provider.
