APC has introduced a new server rack that can cope with high-density networking applications.
The NetShelter SX Networking Enclosure can work with large core networking switches and ensure that cooling is properly regulated in the data centre.
High-density cable managers intergrated into the rack also give the client a cable capacity for 768 data ports.
Dave Guidette, senior vice president for Enterprise Systems, Services & Software at APC, commented that the growth of large networking switches contributed to the need for server racks better equipped for high-density applications.
He said: "With many of the switches having unique side-to-side airflow, the NetShelter SX Networking Enclosure, along with the Side Airflow Duct Kit, offers extra room for cable and superior airflow isolation allowing for better cooling efficiency."
APC recently announced that it will increase its activities in the portable data centre, perhaps even by releasing its own line of solutions as opposed to working in partnership with another company.
