A number of businesses and organisations are to receive industry recognition for the effective use of data cabinets and other IT solutions in the data centre.
Nominations for the 2012 Datacentre Awards for UK, Europe and Central & Eastern Europe have been announced, ahead of June's gala ceremony in London.
Awards are set to be presented to high achievers in a number of data centre segments, including managed hosting, managed services and co-location.
Among the titles on offer will be the European Award for Cloud Infrastructure, the European Award for Cloud Services and the European Award for Energy Efficiency in Data Centres.
"This year's awards will be more sought after than ever, as the industry seeks to distinguish excellence in a highly competitive marketplace," said Ashley Davis, chairman of the panel of Judges.
"[They] provide an invaluable benchmark for data centre and cloud companies, and are the only to do so at European level."
He commented that 2012 looks set to be "another tremendous opportunity" for the sector.
