Cabling specialist R&M has unveiled a new generation of patch panels which the company claims offer greater technical and human security.The Global 2U 48-port panel is designed for distributors in enterprise networks and data centres and can be installed without the use of tools.
It has space for up to 48 ports over two height units which can accommodate 16 connection module holders, each with three RJ45 modules.
Martin Reichle, chief executive of R&M, said a cabling solution that is both clear and easy to handle will provide the best protection against errors and faults.
"With the new, compact Global patch panel, R&M has made an innovative contribution to greater security and availability for LANs and data centres," he remarked.
Last month, R&M, which supplies passive cabling solutions for communication networks, said it was constructing a new building in Switzerland to house its production facilities as the company looks to continue its worldwide expansion.
