Verizon Wireless has activated a number of new cell sites around Iowa in the US, according to reports.
The new cells include those in Des Moines, Farrar, Polk City, Boone and Ames, website Computer Business Review reports.
Nancy Clark, president of Great Plans Region at Verizon Wireless, told the website that the new cells represent the company's commitment to investing in the state.
She said: "We continue to improve our network to meet the growing needs of our customers and to provide them with the reliable, high-quality service they expect from Verizon Wireless."
