Rivada Networks names new senior official

Rivada Networks names new senior officialCommunications solutions provider Rivada Networks has created a new senior position, according to reports.

John Kneuer, the former principal telecommunications policy adviser to president George Bush, will take up the position as senior vice president for strategic planning and external affairs.

Website Computer Business Review reports Mr Kneuer used to advise the president as assistant secretary of commerce and administrator of the National Telecommunications & Information Administration (NTIA).

Declan Ganley, chairman and CEO of Rivada, told the website: "John Kneuer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our mission to improve emergency communications.

"Our customers and business partners will benefit greatly from his insights and connections."
