QLogic Corporation, a top company in networking for storage and high performance computing (HPC), has revealed its top performance results.
The company said its performance results for its transaction performance for a virtualised computing environment were industry-leading along with Microsoft's.
Both companies tested storage area network (SAN)-attached, Windows Server 2008 Hyper V virtual machines.
It also achieved I/O performance nearing the 200,000 IOs per second performance.
Mike Schutz, director of product management, said: "QLogic's benchmark result surpasses the existing benchmark results in the market, and demonstrates that Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V customers can achieve higher server utilisation rates and consolidate servers with great technical performance."
The product combines Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V with QLogic 2500 Series 8Gb Fibre Channel.
