New Products For BreakingPoint Systems
Network and application testing company BreakingPoint Systems has revealed the launch of support for 50 application protocols, as well as a range of other products.
These include IPv6 and SSL transport protocols, test automation and reporting capabilities.
Through the new features, network equipment manufacturers and service providers can speed up the development of content-aware network devices with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) testing functionality.
With BreakPoint's solutions, time-to-test is cut by around 50 per cent, according to the company.
Des Wilson, CEO of BreakingPoint Systems, said legacy testing tools have become "obsolete" because of the rise of content-aware network equipment.
He said: "Architecturally, these tools are not capable of producing the high session count, realistic blends of application traffic, and security attacks required to assess DPI functionality and accelerate the development, certification and deployment of thistype of sophisticated network equipment."
Mr Wilson added that the company's "groundbreaking" platform fixed this problem and set new benchmarks for performance and ease of use.
He said: "With this new release, we take content-aware testing to a new level with the industry's most comprehensive application performance and security testing capabilities."
