Netgear is using the occasion of the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 to showcase its new networking equipment.
Developed with an eye for the expected implementation of sophisticated cellular networking technologies such as 4G and WiMax, the company has unveiled two new broadband wireless-N routers at the Las Vegas event.
The devices both allow for connectivity to high-speed cellular networks via an external modem, whether this be geared for 3G, 4G or WiMax.
The routers boast the ability to host guest networks, thereby enabling corporate users to set up multiple wireless networks within small business premises, as well host video and voice communications and gaming networks.
At the same time, PC Pro has reported that Netgear is also set to launch a new wireless router designed to serve as a backup to existing internet networks.
The N-300 device is geared towards businesses reliant on connectivity and therefore unable to afford to let their networks be down for any length of time.
