Netgear has unveiled its new range of wireless solutions aimed at small businesses and organisations with fewer than 1,500 users.
The ProSafe Wireless Management products enable users to 'deploy a scalable, secure, feature-rich wireless network'. The range includes the ProSafe 20-AP Wireless Controller WC7520, which can support 150 access points (AP), including next generation IEEE 802.11n APs.
The products were showcased recently at the BETT show in Olympia, where Netgear was targeting the education sector.
Laurent Masia, the company's product line manager for managed infrastructure products, said: "We are now the only company delivering a family of wireless management products that exceed the requirements of the majority of businesses worldwide."
Another new release in the range is the ProSafe 5-AP Wireless Management Software WMS105, which enables users to set up centralised configuration for up to five APs within minutes.
Netgear recently revealed other new products at CES in Las Vegas, including some wireless-N routers that have 4G and WiMax connectivity in mind.
