Minicom unveils Cat5-based distribution systemMinicom Advanced Systems has revealed its new longest range DS Vision 3000 – a digital signage distribution system.

The new product is being unveiled at this year's Screen Expo, one of the leading premiere digital signage events in Europe, which takes place on February 5th and 6th at te National Hall, Olympia.

DS Vision 3000 is a long range Cat5 based distribution system delivering HD video and stereo-audio content to multiple screens as far away as 2,000 ft.

The system allows administrators to query it remotely and turn remote displays on or off, thanks to its fully bidirectional RS-232 serial.

Eran Kessel, vice president for marketing at Minicom, said: "With its real-time HD video distribution, long distance range and the industry's only GUI-based screen management program, the DS Vision 30000 offers the most complete player-to-screen solution for the 'Last Mile' of any digital signage network."
