LSE expands shared hosting - Networking Industry NewsThe London Stock Exchange (LSE) has expanded its Exchange Hosting service.

Financial firms which opt to house their data storage equipment and server racks in the LSE's dedicated data centre can benefit from reduced data latency during automatic transactions.

Each server cabinet in the LSE exchange has a dedicated 5kW power supply and the expansion of its facility also marks a five-fold increase in server rack capacity.

David Lester, chief information officer at the LSE Group, said: "The introduction of QuantHouse's high-speed data feed, and the raft of other value added services we have announced today, underlines our commitment to providing our most latency sensitive clients with the tools they need to access London’s deep pool of liquidity as fast and efficiently as possible."

QuantHouse's data feed provides information from key European, North American and Asian trading floors in real time.

However, yesterday (November 9th) the London Stock Exchange suffered a server outage which prevented the trading of some 300 UK stocks.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19452151-ADNFCR
