Scottish IT industry experts will get together at the Apex International Hotel in Edinburgh on Thursday to discuss the future of the country's data centre sector.
The event, which takes place on September 10th, involves ScotlandIS and Morse, a technology and IT services specialist.
It aims to highlight Scottish capabilities in the sector and will be used as a forum for exchanging ideas on best practice.
The Data Centre Scotland event will include guest speakers from Microsoft, Morse and Internet for Business.
Polly Purvis, executive director of ScotlandIS, said: "Scotland offers a compelling location.
"We already have significant expertise within the data centre sector, blending leading-edge local specialists and multinational players, as reflected in the ScotlandIS Data Centre group."
Meanwhile, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has issued a range of guidelines on the cooling of server racks and server cabinets in data centres.
ASHRAE said poor ventilation can be exacerbated by a data centre becoming too hot or too humid.
