Entropic Communications has been landed the top prize in the latest round of the Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) awards.
The US-based company landed the TMC.net prize for best product of 2009 for its third-generation EN2510 networking device.
Capable of supporting the latest Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) standard, the EN2510 has been praised for bringing high-definition networking into millions of homes across the United States and beyond.
In addition, the single-chip device's ability to offer cost-effective networking without compromising on quality was also cited by the TMC judging panel.
Welcoming the award, Entropic Communications chief executive Patrick Henry said: "The EN2510 has higher performance, lower power, and a smaller footprint, providing customers with lower overall system costs and offering best-in-class value for next-generation connected products requiring operator class reliability and throughput performance of a MoCA home network."
Entropic recently showcased a number of home networking innovations at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas.
