A further £177,000 will be invested in the improvement of broadband services in Northern Ireland.
Enterprise minister Arlene Foster announced the injection of cash at the end of last week, and the fresh investment is part of the £1.9 million Broadband Fund already in place, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund Sustainable Competitiveness Programme 2007-2013.
The fund is designed to help firms conduct trials of next generation network equipment, such as fibre optic leads and Cat7 cables, particularly in rural areas, which generally lag behind built-up areas in terms of data transfer rates.
Announcing the move to invest in rural Ireland's broadband infrastructure, Arlene Foster said: "The £1.9 million Broadband Fund continues to offer practical business support to Northern Ireland's small and medium-sized enterprises, upon which our local economy is highly reliant."
Earlier this year, H20 Networks announced that it was expanding its fibre optic broadband offering in the city of Sheffield.
