Network virtualisation company Blade Network Technologies has announced the launch of its new RackSwitch products.
The company – an industry leader in network virtualisation for servers and storage – said the product is the first "top-of-rack" data center-class switches with network virtualisation capabilities in the industry.
The products help to drive down the costs of owning Web 2.0 environments, virtualised data centres and high-performance clusters.
Blade Network Technologies will showcase the RackSwitch at Interop Last Vegas, demonstrating how "top-of-the-rack" networking can be Virtual, Cooler and Easier.
Joe Clabby, president of Clabby Analytics, said: "Blade's RackSwitch saves data center managers from being forced to continually buy and deploy super-expensive, power-hungry, high-speed core switches.
"Blade refers to RackSwitch's rack-based, economically differentiated approach as 'Rackonomics.'
