Belden publishes third-quarter results - Networking Industry News Network equipment manufacturer Belden has released its third-quarter results.

The firm had a total revenue of $355.2 million and an operating income of $18.4 million – far lower than the $520.5 million revenue and $47.7 million in third-quarter operating income in 2008.

John Stroup, president and chief executive officer of Belden, said: "Our focus on customers, cost and cash flow, coupled with the dedication and skill of our worldwide associates, allows the company to perform well in these uncertain times and positions us to excel when recovery re-ignites demand."

He added that the company expects fourth quarter revenues to be in the region of $365-$375 million.

Mr Stroup concluded that despite that despite increased competition in the sector, the firm expects sales to be buoyed by increased demand from consumers.

Recently, Belden announced the expansion of its Ethernet managed switch range.

The company's RS22 and RS32 devices are gigabit compatible and use fan-less cooling technology.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19435985-ADNFCR
