ASI creates new RJ45 remote access ports - Networking Industry News Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) has created a new range of remote access ports that use a standard RJ45 connector.

The devices are hot pluggable so network equipment can be connected to them using RJ45 leads while they are still switched on.

Equipped with a hinged dust cover, the connectors also have a watertight seal.

It is part of a range of products created by ASI which have external connectors shielded by dust covers.

According to the firm, the external RJ45 connectors simplify network, data and control signal cable connections.

Meanwhile an RJ45 Ethernet interface allows users to modify the device remotely using a user-friendly web browser interface.

In related news, Electro Standards Laboratories released an automatic switch which can be controlled remotely and allows for the sharing of multiple devices.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19337525-ADNFCR
