Amplicon and Pickering in cabling alliance

Amplicon and Pickering in cabling allianceAmplicon and Pickering have joined forces to raise awareness about the inter-compatibility of networking equipment.

The partnership will aim to make individuals, contractors and businesses aware that they can use network solutions, including cabling, switches and patch panels, from a variety of suppliers and do not have to stick with one brand to ensure compatibility.

Nick Hickford, Pickering's UK sales manager, said: "Many system designers do not fully appreciate the degree of interoperability that PCI extensions for instrumentation offers."

He added that network designers do not have to compromise by using equipment sourced from one location, as they can easily chop and change – using equipment that fits their overall plan.

Mr Hickford claimed that the issue of integration was not usually a problem that needed to be overcome.
