Network supplies may prove especially popular for the remainder of the year as the wireless LAN market seems set to rebound from a challenging 2009.
Research by the International Data Corporation has suggested that the market could improve to $2.1 billion in 2010, which would represent 23 per cent growth on the $1.7 billion reached last year.
Rohit Mehra, the director of Enterprise Communications Infrastructure, feels that the drive in growth could be a result of new applications being added to the marketplace.
He also explained: "Unlike other markets that were ravaged by the recession, economic uncertainty and the structural causes of the downturn did not change the fundamental drivers for the growth of wireless in the enterprise.
"More and more customers are demanding resilient, intelligent, scalable, and adaptive wireless network infrastructures. They are gearing up for widespread deployments across the board."
Mr Mehra added that the education, government and healthcare sectors would be instrumental in the growth.
Simon Pamplin, systems engineer and pre-sales manager in the UK and Ireland for Brocade, explained earlier this year that secure network supplies were important when using wireless networks.
