The network security market in China was up 24.3 per cent in the past three months, according to the latest figures.
Sales within the industry were up £116 million in the last quarter, website vnunet.com reports.
CCID Consulting said that security management monitoring, grade evaluation and security consulting were helping to drive the market.
Businesses have recently begun to pay more attention to network security following an increase in "accidents".
CCID's report said: "The conflict between the main industries and the government's deepening dependency on the network, have increased the number of network accidents, driving the improvement of network security.
"The demands of provincial network operators, banks, stockjobbers, petroleum, electric power and governments have also driven the rapid growth of network security management consulting, risk evaluation, network security management monitoring, grade evaluation and custom solutions."
