Abovenet provides network solutions to PHLXFibre-optic connectivity solution provider AboveNet is to build an optical network for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), according to reports.

The new network will increase the stock exchange's reach to its data centres in Pennyslvania to New York and New Jersey, website Computer Business Review reports.

The network solution delivers multiple Gigabit ethernet circuits between the Philadelphia Stock Exchange's base and its data centres further afield.

It will use a mix of 2.5GB and 10GB wavelengths and provide a customised network for the organisation.
