SMEs 'could benefit from the cloud' - Network Equipment

SMEs 'could benefit from the cloud' - Network Equipment Small and medium businesses which are using network equipment could benefit from embracing cloud computing.

According to Advanced 365, the managed services provider, too many organisations are sceptical about the cloud and its benefits.

Neil Cross, managing director of the company, explained: "Cloud computing technologies are evolving rapidly and with an increasing number of options to choose from it's hardly surprising that SMEs are struggling to understand the cloud and how it could work for them.

"This is exacerbated by the fact that some IT service providers and value added resellers are failing to promote the benefits of cloud computing due to a lack of understanding themselves," he added.

His comments come after research from PeoplePerHour.com revealed that three-quarters (74 per cent) of UK small businesses do not use cloud computing models, while more than four in ten (43 per cent) are unsure as to what the technology does.
