Siemon has announced that it is adding another option to its Z-MAX RJ45 Network Cabling Connector range.
The company is introducing a spring-loaded hinged door, which will help to protect the connector's internal components and critical mating surfaces from dust and other potential environmental contaminants.
To ensure that networking installation is not disrupted and high-density cabling situations not compromised, the door stays perpendicular to the outlet face when being used.
Of course, the ability of the Z-Max to offer termination in just 60 seconds is not affected either, while the superior installation experience is also not impacted.
The Z-Max can be used for Cat6 cabling and provides "significant standards performance headroom" in such situations.
Siemon recently introduced a new data cabinet, the VersaPOD VP2, featuring room for 24U of horizontal mounting space and 8U of vertical space.
It is also highly configurable and the 1200mm depth can support deep devices such as Cisco's Nexus 7000 switch.
