GAOK launches new RFID reader/writer - Network AccessoriesGAOK Tek has launched its new UHF desktop RFID reader/writer which it claims can offer vital support to small and medium-sized businesses.

The technology firm says the device features an Ethernet RJ45 interface which allows people to modify its configuration options via a user-friendly web browser interface.

According to the manufacturer, the Gen 2 Desktop RFID Reader/Writer is compatible with EPC Class1, Gen 1 and Gen 2 protocols which can operate at a frequency band of 860MHz.

GAOK claims the device is "an ideal solution for testing and validating applications and is suitable for desktop use".

"The reader is shipped with a software development kit, which facilitates the development of user-specific features," it adds.

The firm recently launched a new fibre-optic power meter which can measure power and loss at five calibrated wavelengths and is suitable for all forms of communication engineering.
