Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) has announced the launch of a new RJ45 network switch system.
The company has revealed that its new Model 9743 High Density system affords 24 channels of Cat 5e RJ45 A/B/C/D switching, despite only measuring 8.75 inches in terms of panel height.
Based on four positions, the technology is compatible with all RJ45 interfaces and is rated at 10/100/1,000 Base-T networks, up to Cat 5e.
ELS claimed in a statement that the model "allows convenient manual control of each channel separately via 24 knobs located on the front panel".
No power is required to operate the system, the company added.
The launch of the new technology has come after international network equipment manufacturer Rockwell Automation announced the launch of new RJ45 patch cords.
Available in both two and four-pair configurations, the new industrial Ethernet range comes in lengths of 100, 300 and 600 metres and includes M12 connectors.
