MEN Mikro Elektronik has announced details of its new PMC module which has been designed for use with safety-critical applications.
The P511 is a 32bit 33MHz PMC module which can offer dual Ethernet functionality.
Complete with two full or half duplex channels via RJ45, the P511 supports both 10Base-T and 100-Base TX.
According to the manufacturer, the device is ideal for use in industrial environments and can be utilised within the temperature range of -40 up to +85 degrees Celsius.
MEN Mikro Elektronik claims: "The PMC offers the possibility to buffer all receive and transmit Ethernet frames either in a local or in an external data buffer in order to provide traceability and error analysis."
The Ethernet functionality of the device can be modified by the implementation of new Internet Protocol cores required by the customer.
MEN recently launched its new CompactPCI Conduction Cooling Rack, which allows 3U Compact PCI boards to be appropriately cooled depending on their location.
The device can operate at temperatures as low as -40 and up to +40 degrees Celsius.
