R&M develops new fibre optic outlet - Network Accessories

R&M develops new fibre optic outlet - Network Accessories Cabling firm R&M has developed a new fibre optic cabling outlet for use in both commercial and residential properties.

The company has expanded its broadband access range with the introduction of an easy-to-install fibre optic splice outlet.

According to the firm, the new device allows users to extend fibre optic broadband and network infrastructure to any room in a building.

The product will be aimed primarily at those looking for multi-media networking solutions or high-capacity data transmission capabilities.

R&M said: "The splice storage unit can be mounted and opened with ease.

"Simple mounting shortens the overall time required for installation."

The standardised outlet also supports Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cables as well as RJ45 connection modules, so the device can be used for both copper and fibre optic lead networks.

Meanwhile, Harting has just launched a new outdoor rated fibre optic connector which can be used in conjunction with existing technology.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19249988-ADNFCR
