Platinum Tools has unveiled a new device that it claims will reduce the stress put on cabling during installations.
The company's new J-Hook is designed to work with today's high-performance voice, data, fibre optic, coaxial and RJ45 cables.
Its new Cable Cage Polypropylene (CCP) J-Hooks feature a smooth pulling design and integrated latch to allow stress-free cable support.
"CCP Series J-Hooks combine a steel design with a unique polypropylene over-mould to significantly reduced fiction when pulling bundles of cables," said Lee Sachs of Platinum Tools.
He added that smooth cable pulls reduce the strain put on structured cabling during installation, reducing the number of incidents of cable burn.
The J-Hook system also has a unique latch which ensures that cabling running across the pulleys stays in place while it is being pulled.
Meanwhile, Mogami Cable has recently added a new rugged Ethernet cable to its product line, which is suitable for use in harsh conditions.
